HIDRONAF


The watershed is the territorial unit for the implementation of the National Water Resources Policy as well as to the operation of the National Water Resources Management System, as stated in the Water Law of 1997. The project titled "Watershed: From the Source to the Mouth and Beyond the Banks - HIDRONAF" is a multi-knowledge portal that will provide actions in education, research, and outreach in the São Benedito Stream Watershed, MG. The project aims to generate data and information that serve as references for the study of watersheds in Brazil and worldwide.

The São Benedito Stream Watershed (BHSB) is a sub-watershed of the Todos os Santos River, which is a sub-watershed of the Mucuri River and belongs to the East Atlantic hydrographic region, as classified by the National Water Agency.

Historian graduated from UNIMONTES (State University of Montes Claros) and holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Social History from UFU (Federal University of Uberlândia). Works in the areas of society and culture in the rural world.


Tuane de Oliveira Dutra

Water Resources Engineer graduated from UFPEL (Federal University of Pelotas), with a Master's and Ph.D. in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul). Works in the areas of water resources, hydrogeology, and groundwater.
