HIDRONAF

The watershed is the territorial unit for implementing the National Water Resources Policy and the operation of the National Water Resources Management System, as advocated by the Water Law of 1997. The program entitled Watershed: from source to mouth, beyond its banks – HIDRONAF, is a multi-knowledge portal, which will provide teaching, research, extension, and innovation activities in the São Benedito Creek Watershed, MG, so that the data and information produced will serve as references for the study of watersheds in Brazil and around the world.

Watershed

The São Benedito Stream Watershed (BHSB) is a sub-watershed of the Todos os Santos River, which is a sub-watershed of the Mucuri River and belongs to the East Atlantic hydrographic region, as classified by the National Water Agency.
